Grade Level:

6th, 7th, and 8th Grade

Goal: 
By the end of the 2010-2011 school year, all students will have completed a career interest inventory, and have been provided with information through developmental lesson plans that will prepare them for post-secondary education, college, and career options.  As well, students will have visited various high schools, college campuses and universities.


Guidance Lesson Content:
Exposure to high schools and colleges and the use of career interest inventories.

ASCA Domain/ Standard:
Students will complete school with the academic preparation essential to choose from a wide range of substantial post-secondary options, including college. (Standard A)


Curriculum and Materials:
Developmental lesson plans, career interest inventory, and transportation/ arrangements for field trips to visit high schools and colleges.

Students will acquire the attitudes, knowledge, and skills that contribute to effective learning in school and across the life span. (Standard A)
